The story covers issues of racial prejudice, societal bigotry, the blinding power of fear, and the struggle between the races across dimensions to restore balance to the world through the Crystals. While not entirely deep, or allegorically impactful, the engaging story is well written, and well paced. There's even a giant tree village (ala Ewoks) full of Moogles. Single player, free roaming, action adventure game play glowing with all the charm FF is known for. It is wholly it's own, and while it doesn't succeed at everything it sets out to accomplish, it excels exceptionally at what it does well. They took risks to couple motion controls with imaginative and clever ways to interact with the world of it's predecessor (Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (GC)) 1,000 years into it's future. Square-Enix used this Wii exclusive as an experimental playground to test out entirely new ways to experience FF with some of the most non-traditional play styles to date. Not to mention a small branch of a rather large spin-off tree that sits in the shade of it's higher branches. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles : Crystal Bearers for the Wii is a mouthful of a title.
